Establishment of subsidiaries in Brazil and Switzerland.

Weber increases customer proximity through international growth.

Weber Maschinenbau is advancing its international growth further: Officially starting on January 1, 2024, the globally active line solution provider is establishing two new subsidiaries – Weber Food Technology Schweiz GmbH in Switzerland and Weber Food Technology do Brasil Ltda in Brazil. In these markets, Weber products and services are currently being sold via distribution partners. By establishing these new subsidiaries, Weber will be able to serve customers directly on site and expand its local service offering further.

“Our motivation for direct market entry is above all to develop our structures further and directly interact with customers. In the last few years, we have completed a transformation from a machine manufacturer to a solution provider. This has fundamentally changed our approach to projects,” explains Daniel Frank, CSO of Weber Maschinenbau. “To better meet the requirements of our customers, closer coordination and effective project management are essential, and the geographical proximity to our customers in Switzerland is of great advantage,” adds Fabian Tommer, the future managing director of Weber Schweiz. The same holds true for the new subsidiary in Brazil. The central objective is to provide Brazilian food producers with faster, more efficient, and more targeted support with a Weber team based directly on site. Brazil also offers a strong growth potential for Weber due to recent changes in laws concerning sliced food as well as due to its large population.

Essentially, the new Weber locations will allow an even better and more comprehensive customer service – from consultation and project management to after-sales service and the ability to rely on Weber’s global software solutions and support structures. In order to ensure all of this, Weber relies on a strong team of experienced personnel in both countries and has additionally set up extensive storage areas and its own showroom to focus on the needs of customers. This not only ensures a fast provision of spare parts but also makes it possible to organize on-site demonstrations and events for customers in the region. This positioning is a strong basis on which customers in Brazil and Switzerland will be able to rely in the future.

"A direct presence will allow us to react more quickly to customer needs, understand customer requirements better, and develop tailored solutions."
